Faculty Pilot Project Grant

CSCC Pilot Research Grant (Max. 5,000 USD)

Deadlines: October 28, 2022 and March 31, 2023

This is “seed money” for any full-time DKU faculty who plans to apply for a large research fund with a component of China-related research. You can propose to conduct preliminary research and/or organize a small workshop for the collaborators to meet and discuss ideas. Please provide a curriculum vitae, a description of your research proposal, research plans, research outcomes and a brief budget statement (up to five pages). The length of the project is within two years, unless otherwise specified.

All grant proposals should be sent to Chi Zhang, program coordinator for the Center for the Studies of Contemporary China. Please contact Chi Zhang for inquiries as well.

2021 Fall CSCC Pilot Research Fund (Max 5,000 USD)

This is “seed money” for any full-time DKU faculty who plans to apply for a large research fund with a component of China-related research. Please provide a two-page description of your research proposal, research plans, research outcomes and a brief budget statement. We normally support a full year of research but in special circumstances, extensions are possible upon request. The application is on the rolling basis and the CSCC Executive Committee starts reviewing applications the first Monday of each month. You are encouraged to apply early because we have a limited amount of funding which may run out quickly depending on the number of applications we receive. For inquiries, please contact Chi Zhang.
