The Ministry of Science and Technology (MOST) of China has announced the 2nd batch of calling for proposals for international and regional collaboration programs.

内地与香港联合资助研发项目 Mainland and Hongkong Program,  Direction:

  1. 生物技术：治疗慢性疾病的创新药物研发Biotechnology: R&D of innovative drugs for the treatment of chronic diseases
  2. 人工智能：人工智能系统的安全性和隐私研究、类脑智能、智慧医疗（包括医疗机器人）、智慧城市Artificial Intelligence: Research on the security and privacy of AI systems, brain-like intelligence, smart healthcare (including medical robotics), smart cities
  3. 可持续发展工程及科技：光电子材料、第三代半导体技术、绿色先进制造、电源集成电路与模块Sustainable Engineering and Technology: optoelectronic materials, third-generation semiconductor technology, green advanced manufacturing, power integrated circuits and modules

At least 1 company in Mainland China shall participate in the project application, and the firm shall provide at least 10% of the grant as extra funding for the project.  If the company is the leading institute in the proposal, it shall provide at least 1:1 funding as the extra funding for the project.

General Eligibility：

    1. Proposal PI must have a senior research title such as professorship or research scientist (教授或研究员) and be born after Jan1st 1964, at least 6 months input for the project

The internal deadline for International cooperation is May 31st，2024. The system will open for application after April 17th.

The internal deadline for the Regional Program is June 21st，2024. The system will open for application after May 13th.
