Jiangsu Education Department (JED) is calling for proposals for 2025 Annual Philosophy and Social Sciences Research Projects (2025年度省高校哲学社会科学研究项目). Please see attached notices for details. Please find attached documents for your refences as well.

Budget Total and Project Period:

• Major Programs (重大项目)：60,000.00 RMB.
• General Programs (一般项目)：approved by the Jiangsu Education Department and funded by the host universities (DKU)
• The research period for major projects will be 3 years, and for general projects 2 years, starting from the date of approval.

• Archaeology
• Economics
• Management Studies
• Other related topics

Eligibility:

• Major Projects: applicants must hold a senior professional title (Associate Professor or equivalent), or a doctoral degree (Ph.D. or equivalent) with an intermediate professional title. For requirements of papers, the series of papers should be published in high-level domestic or international indexed journals, such as CSSCI source journals, national core Chinese journals, SSCI, or A&HCI.
• General Projects: applicants for general projects must hold a master’s degree or higher or possess an intermediate or associate senior professional title.
• Both major projects and general projects do not accept applications from applicants holding full senior professional titles.
• PIs of ongoing projects funded by the National Social Science Foundation (NSSFC), National Natural Science Foundation (NSFC), Ministry of Education Humanities and Social Sciences Research Program, Provincial Social Science Foundation, or Provincial Philosophy and Social Sciences Research Program are not eligible to apply.

Application Process:

• The preliminary review results for all categories of projects must be publicly announced on the university’s official website for no less than 5 days.
• All applicants will need to send RSO all the applications by the internal deadline (Thursday, 4.17, 12pm). RSO will then post all relevant information on the official website for 5 days.

Language: Chinese

Internal Deadline: 12:00 pm, Thursday, April 17, 2025. RSO will not accept applications after the deadline, as all the applications will need to be publicly posted on the website for no less than 5 days before submitting to JED.
