National Health Commission (NHC) is calling for proposals for the National Key Research and Development Project (国家重点研发计划).

4. Cutting-Edge Biotechnology前沿生物技术
5. Key Technologies for Biosafety Research生物安全关键技术研究

Project Period: each project has its own requirements, please log into your personal account to see specific project descriptions.

Eligibility:

1. PI must have the title of professor/associate professor/principal researcher scientist or a doctoral degree (高级职称或博士学位).
2. PI should be born after January 1st, 1965 (under 60 years old). The annual working time dedicated to the project should be no less than 6 months.
3. PI for the Young Scientist Project should be born after January 1st, 1985 (under 40 years old). The participants for the Young Scientist Project should also be under 40 years old.
4. PI shall be the proposer of the main research concept and the scientific personnel who leads the research projects.
5. Experts involved in drafting the implementation plan of key projects or this year’s project guidelines are not allowed to apply for this project.
6. Because the project may involve human genetic materials, pathogenic microorganisms, human bodies, and experimental animals, it is necessary to comply with relevant national ethical and biosafety management regulations. Please refer to the guidelines for details.
7. The proposal needs to be nominated by Jiangsu Department of Science and Technology.
8. For specific application requirements, please refer to each application guidelines. In case with special provisions, those provisions shall apply.
