Abstract

Ms. You will be presenting on the Chinese Female Only Script, 女书 (Nvshu). The nvshu script is written by the ethnic Yao women of Hunan. Ms. You will be exploring the connections between nvshu and women’s culture, as well as the history and significance of this script. After the lecture, the speaker will be leading students in a workshop to explore the art of nvshu.
