Zhou Yahui is the founder of Kunlun Tech Co., Ltd., a China A-share listed company; Chairman of Opera Ltd., a U.S.-listed company; Chairman of OPay, a fintech unicorn; and founder of Kunlun Capital.

As an entrepreneur, Mr. Zhou founded Kunlun Tech in 2008 and led the company to its public listing in 2015. Kunlun Tech is one of China’s leading artificial intelligence technology companies.

In 2016, Mr. Zhou completed the acquisition of Opera and led the company to its listing on NASDAQ in 2018. Opera has since grown into a company with annual revenue exceeding US$1 billion.

In 2018, Mr. Zhou founded OPay with the mission of advancing financial inclusion through technology. OPay has since become one of the most influential fintech unicorns in Africa.

As an investor, Mr. Zhou founded CVC Kunlun Capital and has invested in more than 100 companies since 2015. His portfolio includes Grindr (NYSE: GRND), Musical.ly (later acquired by ByteDance), Pony.ai (NASDAQ: PONY), Dreame Technology, Qudian (NYSE: QD), and Inke (HKEX: 3700). Mr. Zhou has been recognized by Forbes and Zero2IPO Group as one of the “Top 100 Venture Capitalists” and “Top 100 Investors.”

Mr. Zhou received both his bachelor’s and master’s degrees from the Department of Precision Instruments at Tsinghua University.
