George Hu, PsyD

I joined Duke Kunshan University on August 7, 2023 as Director of Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS). I am a licensed clinical psychologist (California, Hawaii) from the United States, and earned my Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from the University of California, Berkeley. I also earned my Master’s and Doctoral degrees in Clinical Psychology from Alliant International University in San Francisco, California. Previously, I was the Chair of Mental Health at Shanghai United Family Pudong Hospital, and the Chair of the nationwide United Family Mental Health Network. I was also previously the Director of Psychology and Mental Health at Jiahui International Hospital. I am currently the President of the Shanghai International Mental Health Association (SIMHA).

Xinyuan Tang, M.Ed, M. Phil, LPC

Senior Psychological Counselor

I received my Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from University of Pennsylvania and completed training in providing counseling through a trauma informed and multicultural lens. Prior to joining Counseling Center, I worked in community mental health settings. I take an eclectic approach to therapy drawing from dialectical behavioral, cognitive, and psychodynamic theories.

Siqi Chen, M.Ed, M. Phil

I received my Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from University of Pennsylvania and worked in different settings, including hospitals, schools, community health, and private clinics. I try to provide a compassionate, safe, and non-judgmental environment to help you begin the path to healing and self-discovery. My therapeutic style is humanistic, experiential, and client-centered. I also incorporate aspects of Emotionally Focused (EFT) and Cognitive Behavioral (CBT) Therapies.

Chenyi Zhu, MA

Clinical Services Coordinator

I joined Duke Kunshan University on March 1, 2023 as Clinical Services Coordinator, in Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS) and Student Health Services (Campus Health Clinic). My main responsibilities are providing receptionist services and communications via different channels and assisting with a variety of operational and administrative tasks including managing students’ health insurance, maintaining the systems and procedures of scheduling visit and meeting, promoting health education, organizing outreach programs and coordinating with other departments on campus and within the community. I received my Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Women, Gender, and Sexuality Studies from Dickinson College in May 2020, and Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling and Behavioral Medicine from Boston University in May 2022.
