Yisu Zhou is Interim Dean of Academic Strategy and Learning Innovation, Professor of Public Policy and Sociology, and China Director of the Institute for Global Higher Education at Duke Kunshan University. Trained as a sociologist, his research focuses on education policy and higher education development in the Greater China region. His broad research interests cover vocational and technical education, social stratification in education, and the institutional dynamics of Chinese higher education, bringing both methodological versatility and a comparative perspective to his work.

Zhou holds a Ph.D. in Education Policy from Michigan State University and a B.S. in Statistics from East China Normal University. Previously, he spent 13 years at the University of Macau in various roles, including tenured faculty member and inaugural director of the Doctor of Education program.
